Burton is in the midst of an area of outstanding natural beauty - the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales, North Lancashire and the Forest of Bowland, and Morecambe Bay. As our Chairman said at our last AGM, he continues to be amazed at the sheer variety of walks found by our leaders. Walking is really a magical way of exploring and discovering the countryside all around us.
Burton Fell Walking Society has been organising a regular walking programme for the past 25 years. On this web site we would like to tell you a little about the Burton Fell Walking Society, how we operate, the types of walk we organise, give you a flavour of these outings and perhaps tempt you to join us in the future.
