INFORMATION FOR WALKERS:

Membership Fee: £8 due January

Visitors: £2 (For insurance reasons, maximum number of visits 2)

Walkers should carry a food pack and drink and a torch on all walks.

They should wear adequate clothing for the prevailing conditions and ensure their footwear is strong and in good condition.

Unless otherwise directed, the walking party must walk behind the Leader and not deviate from the route being led by the Leader.

Walkers have collective responsibility to keep reasonably together during the walk and to alert the leader if too spread out.

The Back Marker should be informed if a walker needs to stop briefly

A walker must not leave the walk without the full agreement of the Leader.

Walkers should have emergency contact details in or on their rucksack.

Only walks on the Society’s published walk programme, or circulated by the Secretary to all members, are covered by the Constitution, Rules and Benefits of the society.

All walks start promptly from Burton Memorial Hall Car Park unless otherwise stated.

Dogs are permitted on walks under the owner’s control, and must be on a lead when in the vicinity of farm animals and on roads.
