A good sized group enjoyed a walk on local paths whilst other members of the Society prepared the buffet for the 'Mince Pie Party' at the Memorial Hall. The route took us down to the canal on Station Lane, and along the canal bank to Saltmire Bridge, where we crossed the M6. The lanes then took us to Coat Green Farm where we turned toward Dalton Park along the hedgerow path. After crossing Dalton Park we then walked a short section of Dalton Lane and climbed the path from near Home Farm to 'Kidnappers Lane' above the MUGA. At this point the rain was falling heavily so we took the path back down to the Square at the Royal Hotel.
